    Notes from EditorsIt is with great interest that we publish in Ee-JRIF the papers on literature review after mentoring doctoral graduating scholars from all parts of Africa at the PanAfrican University in Yaoundé, Cameroon. I have been doing doctoral mentorship engaging the scholars on how to make the Pan-African integrated, smart and sustainable innovation system currently of the fourth industrial revolution.The four papers are all dealing with Pan-Africanism and the first is by NKUNDABARAMYE Vincent. The Role of African Regional Economic Communities in promoting Intra-African Trade; the second paper is by George Mulingi Mugabe on African Union (AU) and Dependency – A Critique of AU’s Dependency Syndrome and Dawn of New Alternative Sources of Funding; the third paper is by BWISELELO ABEDI on Modernization and Development in Africa’s nascent States, and the fourth paper is by Mohamed Osman Muhumed on Experimenting African-centered Solutions: The Case of African Union Mission.Together the papers focus and provide knowledge based on their Pan-African University PhD studies that we are happy to publish in Ee-JRIFMammo Muchie, Editor in Chief
