About the Journal

The May Annual International Educational Conference (MAIEC), hosted by the College of Education at Bahir Dar University, has been a cornerstone academic event for more than four decades. Established in 1981 G.C., it is one of the most prestigious and long-standing academic conferences at the university and within Ethiopia.

The primary objective of the conference is to promote quality education in Ethiopia and beyond by fostering rigorous, problem-solving research and encouraging its practical application in educational contexts.

Over the years, the conference has attracted wide participation from both governmental and non-governmental educational institutions, including universities, teacher education colleges, regional and national education leaders, and the Ministry of Education. In addition, embassies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), education practitioners, and other key stakeholders have actively participated in previous conferences and are expected to contribute upcoming conferences.

The conference aims to:
